What the audiences said ....
We thoroughly enjoyed the play - well done to you all. It was both amusing and very entertaining. Congratulations to all. (MM, Didcot)
Just wanted to say a big congratulations to the cast and crew on The 39 Steps. I came to see it tonight with my son and we both really enjoyed it. A very challenging show, but it was very cleverly done, the timing was excellent, great characters and extremely funny! Well done to you all and good luck for the rest of the run (LP, Faringdon)
Don't know how you managed it! Some very clever parts, like the train and forth bridge. I thought it was very good and very funny... Can't believe how many parts Bill and Martin pulled off. Well done! (CM, Wantage)
Great show, AmEgos. Hilarious, very cleverly done, great acting and atmosphere. Well done all! (GF, Faringdon)
Just wanted to say a massive well done to everyone involved in The 39 Steps. Watching you guys take on hundreds of characters/costume changes/set changes gave me mild palpitations, but I couldn't stop laughing for the entire performance! My cheeks were in agony the whole way home. (GA, St Neots)
One of your best we really enjoyed it congratulations to all (JW, Faringdon)
Great show and great gin bar(!) Both highly recommended! (SP, Grove)
Just got back after spending an evening enjoying your amazing team of actors and backstage crew put on a show that puts the West End to shame. I saw the same show at the Criterion Theatre (off Piccadilly) a few years ago and your production left the "professionals" in the dust. Great sets, very clever staging and a tight group of actors that worked the play and audience. Your productions get better every time - well done to all of you. (DH,Hendred)
Really good show, enjoyed it immensely! (CT, Faringdon)
Many congratulations on a first rate rendering of The 39 Steps. We did enjoy it, found it very amusing with just 5 actors taking all the parts. Look forward to your next show. (JT, Grove)
Well done AmEgos! Fantastic production of The 39 Steps - funny, fast, great acting! (HB, Faringdon)
Congratulations. The show I saw tonight was absolutely fantastic. It was perhaps one of the best amateur plays I have seen in a very long time. I enjoyed it from start to finish. The characterisations were superb and all the little touches in terms of props, sound effects and quick changes were just magnificent
As an avid Hitchcock fan, into quizzes, I loved spotting the Hitch references scattered through the show! I heard direct references to North by Northwest, The Lady Vanishes, Rear Window, The Wrong Man and Strangers on a Train (do we count 39 Steps itself?!), plus sound references to Psycho and the Birds. Did I miss any others?! Thanks again for a very memorable and fun evening (MP, Hanney)
Superb show Thoroughly enjoyed the whole evening (RdW, Uffington)
I loved it! Such energy, and I laughed so much.It was so clever and the timing of the comedy was great. You must feel so proud of what you have achieved. (JC, Wantage)
Fabulous show - loved the windy doors and the great physical theatre. Can’t wait to see it again tonight (KM, Longcot)
Really good show, enjoyed it immensely (CT, Faringdon)
Very much enjoyed the performance and hats off to all involved (no pun intended!) Can see what a challenge it is to stage, not to mention the ever changing roles of the actors! (EM, Didcot)
